Device detection in Varnish
===========================
Maintainers wanted
------------------
This VCL set was originally collected from some Norwegian newspapers and other
media sites in 2011/2012. It serves as a good starting point for doing device
detection in Varnish.
**We are currently looking for a new maintainer.**
Work load is maybe one pull request per month, as well as figuring out where to
take the VCL file set over time.
The main issue with the current maintenance level is that we (Varnish Software)
don't run any big applications on Varnish production ourselves, so we don't see
the client mix changing. This means that the VCL set most likely will be less
and less useful in real life, as old crap and assumptions are left to rot in
here.
Any new maintainer(s) should probably be running this VCL in production, or do
similar/related work close to backend applications. Contact
<lkarsten@varnish-software.com> to discuss this further.
Introduction
------------
The goal of this VCL set is to provide a simple & easy way of getting
device detection going in Varnish Cache. (https://www.varnish-cache.org)
